Here ya go…Tea with Leo.

This is the record me and Anna have been talking about making for sometime now.

Was back in December 2002 that we first met up at the 12 Bar in London. Since then because of that ocean between us we had only a few occasions to perform together, but each time, well it’s been real special.

And this new release is no exception. Recorded in London over the course of just two days it is indeed a fine example of what can happen when two truly gifted musicians stop sippin’ tea and eating biscuits long enough to lay down a few tracks.

Now here’s some of what some other folks have said, (if ya click on the link ya can check out the full review).

“ NYC / London acoustic work-out of unspeakable gorgeousness…a record to treasure”
              - Americana UK

“As fresh and inspiring as watching the sunrise…Ms. Phoebe’s violin sounds like heaven in digital format…Extraordinarily fulfilling”
              - Babysue.com

“Extremely lovely…one of those records you reach for to ease you into or out of your day as it brings with it great calm and untroubled prettiness of sound that can’t help but induce wistful sighs and fond memories”
              - Comes with a Smile

“a short but brilliant collection of Americana instrumentals…lovingly crafted, masterfully honed, and hauntingly beautiful …whether folkie, or blues fan, or chamber music aficionado, you’ll find pleasure in this album”
              - KyndMusic.com

Believe it was the summer of 2003 when Breadfoot got together with Paleface and got to working up the tunes for the band that would become Just About to Burn. Lil' Mo was brought in on the kit early September and the gang went to see Paul Kostabi @ Court Metrage Studio, NYC to make this record.

Course now prevailing winds being what they are, a trip to England, a bunch of NYC shows, and a southern US run later Breadfoot decided that he needed to leave the band. Even still the record is a real good listen.

Nervous Girl, Valentine, and Yer $ or Yer Fun, (there's a live version posted below), are a couple of the tunes that Breadfoot had a real big hand in and well Good to Go, just happens to be Breadfoot's favorite from the record so.

….yeah, if ya dig the tunes you can go on by www.artmonkeyrecords.com to score yerself a copy. And if’n ya wanna know what PF and Mo are up to these days well you can ease on over to www.justabouttoburn.net to get the lowdown.

london time out got it right, when they described breadfoot live as “gritty guitar picking and homespunwisdom”. and on “i’m ok, yer uk”, the proof is in the pudding. recorded over the course of his last two runs over to the uk, breadfoot rambles thru the six tracks offered. along the way he disses bush, remembers his third grade crush and touches on 9/11 conspiracy theories. oh, and yep, he does manage to shut up long enough to pick a few tunes. and we should tell ya this, two of the tracks feature the amazing fiddle of anna phoebe. if’n ya want you can get yerself one from the good folks at www.cdbaby.com.
